My condo is conveniently located off Santa Rosa Boulevard in Okaloosa Island, Florida. Okaloosa Island
is located between Ft Walton Beach (5 minutes) and Destin (10 minutes).
I use to own a condo at Crystal Beach in Destin and it actually takes me less time to get to the Destin
restaurants and attractions (Destin harbor, water park, etc) from Okaloosa Island than from my old
Destin condo. The main reason is that most of Okaloosa Island is controlled by the government and
there are miles and miles of undeveloped land. The main highway that crosses Okaloosa Island only
has two traffic lights and there are few cross roads to slow down traffic. If you are familiar with Destin
traffic you already know that it can take a long time just to move a couple of blocks.
